In ARC Raiders, the Outstanding Balance quest is one of those mid-game missions that looks simple on paper but can easily turn into a frustrating reset loop if you miss a single step. Its given by Tian Wen in Speranza and takes you into the Blue Gate map for a two-stage objective: trigger a stash trap and recover a hidden note before extracting alive.
This guide breaks everything down in a clear, practical way so you can complete it in a single run without wasting time.
Quest Overview
The Outstanding Balance quest sends you to the Blue Gate region where you need to:
- Trigger Dodgers stash in the Traffic Tunnel
- Retrieve Dodgers Note from Pilgrims Peak Antenna
- Successfully extract with the item
- Turn it in to Tian Wen in Speranza
Both objectives must be completed in a single raid. If you die before extracting the note, you lose progress and must restart.
Crucial Preparation Tips
Before you even deploy, a bit of preparation will save you a lot of frustration.
The most important recommendation is to equip a Safe Pocket Augment. The quest item, Dodgers Note, must be extracted physically. If its in your normal inventory and you die, you lose it and the entire run is wasted.
Also keep in mind:
- This is a single-run quest chain
- You cannot split objectives across multiple raids
- Expect player and ARC machine encounters near both objective zones
Going in lightly geared is usually fine, but mobility and awareness matter more than raw combat power here.
Step 1: Trigger Dodgers Stash in the Traffic Tunnel
Your first stop is the Traffic Tunnel, located near the central portion of the Blue Gate map.
How to reach it
Move toward the central road system and look for the tunnel entrance. You can safely enter through the nearby structure and descend via stairs into the ventilation and tunnel interior.
Finding the stash
Inside the tunnel:
- Head toward the back corner covered with blue tarp
- Look for metal shelving or climbable structures on the right side
- The hidden crate is tucked behind the clutter in this area
Triggering the trap
Interact with the crate to trigger the stash. As soon as you activate it, back away immediately because a small explosion will occur.
After this step, Tian Wen will update your objective and send you toward the next location.
Step 2: Retrieve Dodgers Note at Pilgrims Peak Antenna
The second objective takes you to Pilgrims Peak, located in the upper-right sector of the Blue Gate map.
Getting there efficiently
You can move faster using central zip lines near the tunnel area, which help you cross the map without exposing yourself too much.
Entering the antenna structure
Once you arrive:
- Locate the large radio tower structure
- Enter through the rear access door
- Use the internal zip line system to ascend the tower core
Finding Dodgers Note
At the upper levels:
- Detach at the second-highest floor
- Turn right immediately upon exiting the zip line
- Look between vending machines or red lockers
- Youll find Dodgers backpack on the ground
Interact with it to obtain Dodgers Note. Immediately place it into your Safe Pocket slot if you have one.
This step is critical. Losing the note here means restarting the entire quest.
Step 3: Extract Safely and Turn In
Once you have Dodgers Note secured:
- Head to the nearest extraction point
- Call in extraction and survive until it arrives
- Avoid unnecessary fights unless required for escape
After extraction, return to Speranza.
Go to Tian Wens trader menu and turn in Dodgers Note to complete the quest.
Quest Rewards
Once completed, youll receive several useful items that make the effort worthwhile:
- Gothic Graffiti Aviator cosmetic
- Extended Beauty Magazine #3
- Silencer 2 weapon attachment
These rewards are especially valuable for mid-game progression and weapon customization.
The Outstanding Balance quest is less about combat and more about map awareness and clean execution. The two-location structure forces you to move across dangerous territory, so planning your route and protecting the quest item are the real challenges.
If you treat it like a speed run instead of a fight-heavy mission, it becomes one of the more straightforward objectives in ARC Raiders.
