Has anyone used the local taxi service there? My first impression is that its total chaos! The other day, I decided to visit the famous Chichicastenango Market. Not only did the driver charge me an exorbitant amount, but he also dropped me off on the wrong side near a different entrance. I'm only here on business for a week, so I don't have time for transportation hassles or wandering around. Luckily, my coworkers suggested an alternative just in time today: to book a Taxi de Guatemala through the GetTransfer online service. I had to rush to an important meeting at the Ambia restaurant, which is about 60 km from here. The car I booked through the app only cost $35, which was a pleasant surprise after my first experience. The driver was very polite, the car was clean, and we arrived quickly. I was happy to give him a generous tip. The service is great, and from now on, Ill only use it.
