The studio is expected to release the updated notes and roadmap for Season 2 two weeks later, which will be on January 29th. It's normal for there to be a 7-day delay between the announcement of new seasons and their actual release.
Around February 3rd - two days ahead of the season's launch - they will also reveal the complete Battle Pass and cosmetic items. After a period of slumping, many Call of Duty players are still looking forward to a different and maybe even better Call of Duty gameplay.
Ranked play
Ranked play is one of the most anticipated features for Season 2 for those players that love intense competition.
Ranked Play, along with Season 2, is set to launch on February 5, 2026, as long as there arent any last minute delays. This date can be determined by several clues within the game. These include the Battle Pass countdown clock and the Weekly Challenges' menu.
Black Ops 7 is a ranked mode that's designed to provide a higher level of competition. Instead of a random match lobby, the mode features rules taken from Call of Duty League. The ranking system is also a very exciting feature. In this mode, teamwork and map control are equally important. Ranked Play includes the following competitive modes.

New Camo
Black Ops 7 Season 2 is also introducing brand new camo - mainly through the new Weapon Pretige system and leaderboards. This will enrich the existing camo varieties in the games:
Two Dead Ops Arcade 4 camos that are related to the leaderboard;
Two multiplayer camos, possibly also related to leaderboard event;
Two Weekly Challenges Camos, respectively corresponding to the Week 5 of Season 2 and Week 8 or 9.
Endgame camos in two versions, one dynamic (dynamic) and the other static (static), both of which may relate to events that have occurred or Easter Eggs.

Remasters of the maps Slums and Plaza are reportedly in development for Black Ops 7s next season, according to leakers. Slums is the only map that appeared in later installments. These three maps first appeared in BO2, and were all released as part of the game. The news may be true: remastered version of these three popular map could return soon to players' screens.
