The goal of this Forum is to provide quick, accessible learning resources and reference materials for clinicians who are upskilling, renewing, or reviewing their knowledge and skill for redeployment to critical care during the COVID-19 global pandemic. .
The increase in the number of critically ill patients in this severe pandemic surge, our healthcare systems are becoming stretched and sometimes failing. As a result, healthcare workers from all clinical areas are being required to work in and support the work of critical care units and their teams. We have seen this happening in many parts of the world already.
Staff and trainee doctors, nurses, and health disciplines professionals from specialities/practice areas other than critical care medicine may be required to practice in a critical care environment.
This Forum aims to support these professionals by providing quick, accessible learning resources and reference materials to support their preparation for practising in a critical care environment. As this COVID-19 pandemic progresses, this resource will evolve to assure the content meets the needs of our health professionals.We welcome others to join in supporting the cause by providing training resources in any manner.
- While posting a response/ new massage/ post, the following need to be observed:
A. Language should be clean and, as far as possible, correct and without spelling mistakes.
B. Loose talk and slang and emoticons/smileys and unnecessary abbreviations (such as LOL ) be avoided.
